Member Testimonials

  • " I cannot recommend membership of IWIB enough " IWIB has been invaluable to my business over the last few months. I have had a number of referrals from members, one of which has lead to gaining a very prestigious repeat client.

The online forum has been great for getting information and for being able to share information with others. The support and practical help that members give willingly is priceless.

The monthly seminars have been a fantastic tool not just for learning useful skills for business but also to allow me to meet fellow IWIB members in the flesh and build solid business relationships and friendships. The positive ethos of the online forum is definitely translated to the monthly seminars, so much so that I felt comfortable floating a very new business idea to one of the groups for feedback. The results were tremendous, my fellow IWIB members gave very constructive and positive feedback on the idea and just two months later the new offering is well underway.

I cannot recommend membership of IWIB enough.

  • " a good, knowledgeable support network " What's great about the site is that there is a perfect balance between allowing people to self-promote, while at the same time avoiding the site turning into a 'hard sell' forum. It always amazes me the generosity that members have in giving freely of their time and knowledge. There have been several times they have helped me with difficult decisions, or the last-minute client requests that can turn up and throw you into a panic, and the IWIB network has saved me on many occasions with their advice, knowledge or skills. As a small business owner it's easy to get locked into your own little 'bubble' and I find the support of the IWIB members invaluable. I know that if I have a business query, or if I need a different opinion on a decision, that I can rely on a good, knowledgeable support network.

I have had several referrals for work from the site and have worked successfully on projects with several members. Also the word-of-mouth referrals we have gotten from members has opened up our client base in ways we hadn't expected - which has been fantastic. On the other hand we sometimes find it difficult to source good suppliers, and the showcase section has been excellent for discovering new people to work with.

The networking events are always relaxed and enjoyable, while at the same time being professional, focused and effective. I really admire the way IWIB listen to the members and constantly take aboard any ideas or comments. I would be lost without it and am thrilled to be part of such a vibrant and interesting group.

  • " Easy to navigate and full of useful articles for advice " Making the transition from employee to boss has been made so much easier by the help and support of the Irish Women in Business Network. The site is really easy to navigate and full of useful articles for advice and also the day to day advice and support in the forum. I've really benefitted from the evenings, particularly the tax and accountancy advice. Laura Monk - Butler Monk Solicitors
