The Dragon & The Apprentice entrepreneurial fire defeats the cold snap in Naas….

The cold weather did not stop Irish Dragon Sean Gallagher or Irish Apprentice Boss Bill Cullen from joining with members of www. irishwomeninbusiness.ie for the organisations first national conference.  Over 100 business owners and entrepreneurs gathered to listen to the speakers on the theme of top tips to succeed in 2010. The fieriest dragon in the den took the stage to promote positive mental attitudes required for entrepeneurs to succeed.

“I am excited and delighted to be here today, it is always a great pleasure to meet like minded people and this room is full of them,” said Sean Gallagher at the event. “The organisation is such a positive one I am eager always to lend a hand and meet people who are working to help entrepreneurs. This is a fantastic initiative and is a credit to the founders and organisers,” said Gallagher on the stage.

The event which was held at The Osprey Hotel in Naas was a huge success with lots of exhibitors taking part. The aim of the conference was to spread a little anti- recessionary magic by giving entreprenurs plenty of motivation to develop their businesses. Also speaking at the event were Veronica Canning, Ruth O Dowd ( former Apprentice) Dr Corina Grace and Suzanne Donahue.

Sponsors of the event included Independent News and Media, Bank Of Ireland, 11890,Frequency Web Design, Select Digital Print Group, ECS and many more.

The main theme of the event was to give essential lessons for entrepreneurs in the current challenging climate. “We wanted to give lots of people the chance to develop their skills and to network in a safe, nurturing, learning environment,” said Tara Wilson Black , founder of Irish Women in Business.ie.

“The dragon and the apprentice epitomises the sharing, learning and working together foundation of Irish Women in Business.ie, both Bill and Sean promote the positive side of working and succeeding in life. We have an amazing event and we are looking forward now to 2010,”she continued.

"Irish independent were delighted with the opportunity to sponsor this important event during these challenging economic times. We felt it was a great kick start to the new year with a line up including Bill Cullen, Sean Gallagher and Veronica Canning," said at the event was Emer Jameson, MD of Independent Directories,

This very special event brought together entrepreneurs and businesspeople from across the gambit of commerce in Ireland today. Men and Women from all over Ireland attended to learn important lessons before going on to survive and prosper in 2010. The event was tweeted live on twitter under the hastag #dragonandapprentice and videos were uploaded all day live from the event to You Tube.

High Profile female entrepreneurs at the event included Nicola Byrne of 11890, Emer Jameson, MD Independent Directories, Dr Corina Grace and Veronica Canning.  The aim of the conference was to help attendees develop skills and life lessons to compete in the marketplace. There was also a pamperzone for attendees. Both Dr Bill Cullen and Sean Gallagher were on hand to offer businesses the opportunities for one to one analysis.
