We will be launching our new online store http://www.medistore.ie shortly.

I am interested in your opinions/experiences with online payment options.

Paypal v Realex v RBS Worldpay.

I think that Paypal will probably be the simplest option for now, I have heard that Realex can be difficult and costly to set up and that RBS Worldpay can take quite a long time to set up as their customer service is extremely slow.

* Thinking Of Becoming A Member?

Since we launched IWIB we have received an exceptional amount of emails asking how IWIB can work for women and their business. We thought a thread in response to those thinking of joining our community would be beneficial. I encourage our members to advise potential members why they joined and the benefits. Here is why WE think you should join.

- IWIB is excellent value compared to similar sites.

- IWIB is an investment in yourself and your business. Average 500+ hits per day.

- IWIB allows you to network & share resources, we are all “open for business on IWIB”

- IWIB is committed to investing your membership fee into promoting the community in the media, online and broadsheets.

- IWIB is packed full of useful downloads, only available to members

- IWIB is committed to organising networking events e.g Breakfast Briefing, 14th May, Social Media For Business - 26th May, 5 Min Marketing 24th June, Grow & Develop Your Business 28th July FREE to IWIB members.

- IWIB has no google ads or spammers on site. Every business is vetted to ensure it is a viable business and can contribute to the community.

Here are some places we have promoted the site and it’s members. More people will know about you, your services and your business simply by becoming a member.

http://www.een-ireland.ie/eei/links/links.asp?ContentID=021&BackTo=0&savemsg;=&CustomMessage;=
Social Media sites - Advert presently running on Facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Irish-Women-In-Business/57209820535?ref=nf

If we missed anything, then I am sure the “Members” will post their experience to encourage you to join. IWIB is a fantastic platform to showcase your work/services. €50 is pittance if you are serious about promoting your business, it goes towards the cost of building, maintaining, hosting and promoting the site and YOUR business. It also goes towards the seminars, networking & events we hold FREE to IWIB members http://www.irishwomeninbusiness.ie/index.php/discuss/viewthread/85/

You asked for it, we built it, USE it to extend your business contacts and generate additional sales for your company. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Together we can achieve great things.

Introduction -Paula Coogan

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is keeping well! Seems a bit quiet on the forum recently, everyone must be on their holidays!!

Brief Introduction-

I am the owner of The Aspirations Coach which was set up earlier this year. My business is dedicated to those special twenty and thirty somethings everywhere who just know that there is more out there for them.

A lot of my twenty and thirty something clients come to me with a similar story- confused, uncertain, things aren’t going the way they hoped, they think that their friends are much happier and more successful. I am an expert in helping Quarter Lifers be successful. I also work as a Quarter Life Crisis mentor and coach.

The quarter life crisis is a term related to people in their 20s and 30s, who are unsatisfied with the direction their life is going. Feeling you should be happy and have it ‘all figured out by now’ is at the core of the quarter life crisis. I’d be surprised if you said your twenties were easy for you as this decade of life is full of transitions, decisions, and expectations. In fact, it’s very natural to feel lost in your twenties. It’s a myth that you are supposed to know exactly what you want and how to get it when you graduate from school or college. Our education may teach us specifics about certain subjects, but we do not graduate with the life skills that make living as an official grown-up easy.

Society has become far more competitive with many ‘twenty and thirty somethings’ feeling intense pressure to ‘succeed’ in their jobs, finances and relationships. It makes perfect sense when you think about it. We set our paths through the CAO when we are 16-17 and then we generally follow that path for the next 4-5 years, then we get a job, work in our chosen industry for a few years and then…...we ask…. ‘Is this it?’.

At this stage, you are in your mid-twenties and you’re supposed to be happy, responsible and have your life all figured out. But guess what, you’re not happy and you are more confused than ever. Do you stay in a job that is making you unhappy? Can you do something completely different? This is also described as an identity crisis. We define ourselves so often by what we do and when that doesn’t fit anymore, we often don’t really know who we are, in many areas of our life. We question and second guess ourselves. You may find that a relationship you have been in for years isn’t really what you want either. We don’t know ourselves anymore.

My gift and talent is helping people see, believe and reach their full potential. My clients are already wonderful, extraordinary people. I can’t wave a magic wand and turn someone into something they are not. However, I can help them see and appreciate who they are already and ensure that the life they are living and the path they decide for the future, is one that is worthy of them.

With me as their personal coach, I push, challenge, cajole, support, teach and coax them to push themselves beyond their preconceived limitations and get what they really want out of life on their terms. I will do everything in my power to assist their growth and with my support, they are able to push themselves so much further than they would alone. I hold them accountable for their own life and aspirations. No regrets- just one amazing life.

Ok, that wasn’t so brief in the end!! I’m passionate about what I do anyway!

I look forward to meeting you all and chatting over the coming weeks and months!

Warmest Regards,

Paula

Hi,

I recently joined irishwomeninbusiness.ie and thought it’s time to introduce myself.

My name is Siobhan Butler. My husband and I run First Aid For Everyone.
We are a First Aid training provider specialised in Paediatric First Aid in the greater Dublin area.

At request we can come to your premises and teach you and your staff. This includes Occupational First Aid (FETAC level 5), Occupational First Aid refreshers and CPR & AED courses.
